The Vendée’s many tourist activities are easily accessible when you stay at the Longeville-sur-Mer holiday village. The Marais Poitevin marsh is a fantastic natural heritage site to discover with your family. It's the second largest wetland in France after the Camargue and is classified as a “Regional Nature Park”. You're going to like ambling along the footpaths and canals on foot, by bike, on horseback, rowboat or canoe. The ocean light, the birds and the tranquillity of this nature reserve will be something to remember.
In the area surrounding the Longeville-sur-Mer holiday village, the cultural heritage will provide you with plenty of exciting days out. Mills, wash houses, wells, churches, menhir and dolmen stones all attest to a rich and turbulent past, in which legends play a special role. The islands of Yeu and Noirmoutier along the Côte de Lumière (Coast of Light) are not far away, along with Les Sables d'Olonne, the île de Ré and La Rochelle. Have you been dreaming of discovering the local stars like the Puy du Fou theme park, Futuroscope leisure park, the Planète Sauvage animal park or the Indian Forest? They are all less than two hours away by car!
